Sailing
The Charleston Yacht Club prides itself in having some of the best sailing on the East Coast, if not in the nation. With steady sea breezes nearly every summer afternoon, we try and get on the water weekly for racing action. We host two regattas annually have played host to several national championships.
Fishing
The Low Country of South Carolina boasts some of the best inshore and offshore fishing in the nation. The fish bite nearly year round and if you know what you’re doing, dinner is just a cast away. The Charleston Yacht Club sponsors one fishing tournament currently, with plans to resurrect the ever popular, offshore sailing – fishing tournament.
Cruising
The Charleston area boasts a number of perfect cruising destinations, whether you want to grab a bite to eat on Shem Creek, or head down to Bohicket and Kiawah Islands. Don’t have a boat? No Problem. Many of our members who cruise have space available and some of our cruising destinations are even suitable for “Land Yachts” (RV’s).
